Craftsman Chipper Shredder - Drop Down |
Craftsman
Drop Down Chipper Shredder! As
far as chipper shredders go we here
at mower shop are pretty biased
towards the
DR Chipper Shredder probably
because we're more familiar with it
and have not had any issues
whatsoever in using it over the last
six years.
We have to take the reviewers words
on this
Craftsman Drop Down Chipper Shredder
model. This Craftsman chipper
shredder is powered by the Briggs &
Stratton 305 CC OHV Engine. We know
that's a nice engine and has a high
durability rating. This Craftsman
chipper shredder can be shipped
directly to your home - but be aware
it'll cost you extra for truck
delivery. Depends on where you live
as to how much it'll cost to ship it
to you. We recommend using the site
to store feature where you can have
it shipped to your local Sears store
and pick it up there versus the cost
of having a truck deliver it direct.
It's not that big and picking it up
at Sears should save you some money.
Many times the site to store
shipping is free so keep that in
mind when ordering.
The
Craftsman Drop Down Chipper Shredder
features a ten to one reduction
ratio which will require fewer bags
and emptying because if mashes the
hell out of whatever you put in it.
Large drop down hopper with premium
chromium blades allow for high
performance chipping and shredding.
Large tires for easy maneuvering.
You can use the gravity feed or rake
in to gather up and shred the
debris.
Tom from Vermont says: "I bought
this chipper shredder last year
after reading all the online
reviews. Once I got it home I
learned it was way too hard to
start. Then when I got it running I
had to keep stopping it to remove
twigs and other stuff it could not
shred. You have to take it apart to
get it to start again when something
does not shred. I took the shredder
back and bought another make and
model."
Andy from Texas said: "We have a
farm that has a lot of brush and
tree branches that need cleared up
every year. Two years ago we bought
one of these craftsman chipper
shredders and we can tell you it's a
great buy. It arrived ready to go
and we make fine mulch out of
anything we throw in here. It feeds
easily and we have never had the
problems some of the other people
have mentioned. Leaves, wood, brush,
anything we throw in is turned to
mulch and it never stops. We would
recommend this shredder."
Ron from TN says: "This is a great
chipper. After we had it delivered I
took it out back to where we had a
huge pile of old trees and leaves.
This chipper took that stuff down to
some mulch we used in our flower
beds and had no problem doing it. My
neighbor has the DR chipper shredder
and that one is nice too. But we are
happy with this craftsman model."
