Sickle Bar Mowers

Sickle Bar MowersPGF Double Action Sickle Bar Mower The PGF double action sickle bar mower has a full seven foot cutting width and a hydraulic life system. This is a 4 PTO driveline system and comes with an extra cutting blade.

This model is designed for tractors up to 84 HP and has a three point PTO hitch - category one or two.

Sickle bar mowers are designed for tractors with category one or two three point PTO hitches. They're made to cut on hillsides and in ditches.

These sickle bar mowers are designed to be used with larger tractors so if you just have a normal sized or larger garden tractor look to the trail and brush mower tow behind models.

Sickle bar mowers are powered by the tractor's rpm and PTO - they're heavy so be prepared on shipping charges. This model is the premium sickle bar model available and weighs in at around 700 pounds.

Sickle bar mowers are great for large properties where you have sloping hills and ditches as they can mow at a 70 to 75 degree angle and can trim at average angles of about 45 degrees. If you do invest in one we suggest you get the hydraulic lift models as they're much easier to use than the manual lift with chain models. You can buy lift kits with most sickle bar mowers and the one we feature above comes standard with the hydraulic lift feature.

The power of these sickle bar mowers is amazing. They'll cut through any type of brush or grass and even take down trees and saplings of around an inch thick.

If you have lots of hills and slopes along with ditches on your large property - the PGF sickle bar mower with hydraulic lift will serve you well. If you need slightly less power and have less of a mowing ditch issue - you should be checking out the tow behind trail mowers which may be all that you need - and will cost you about half of what a good sickle bar mower will run you.

Tow Behind Brush MowersMower Shop Recommends... For pure power and versatility there isn't a better tow behind ATV brush mower than the DR Field and Brush Mower. Whether you need a self propelled brush mower, a tow behind brush mower, or a brush mower that can be converted into literally all your outbound power tools - including a snow thrower, chipper, and a home generator - there is nothing quite like the innovation and quality you'll find in a DR Field and Brush mower.

The DR Field and Brush Mower rough cut trail mower attachment provides easy to use mowing for any ride on lawn mower. Simple to use with remote control to operate the throttle, mower blades, and engine speed all from the vehicle you're towing it with.
